Meet John Professional Stylist
John brings 38 years of professional grooming expertise to Ken’s K-9 Dog Spa, starting his career in 1978 as a formally trained grooming school graduate—not self-taught, but professionally certified. His extensive experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments has made him a trusted expert in the field.
After successfully operating his own grooming business for 24 years, John made the exciting move to Texas to continue his passion for pet care at Ken’s K-9 Dog Spa. He is known for his friendly, gentle approach and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every dog receives individualized care while feeling completely comfortable and relaxed throughout their grooming experience.

We bring our dog June here once about every month-two months. As a hound, she does tend to get a little greasy and particularly odorous. After visiting Alex and John at Ken’s K-9s, she comes back fresh, happy, and clean from nose to tail! A few testimonials, June RUSHES into the shop when we get there because she’s so excited, they noticed and cleaned out some ear gunk she had that was bothering her and eliminated the shaking and scratching that was beginning to happen, and we can book an anal gland expression for her instead of having to book a vet appointment too.
We love how easy it is to schedule, the professionalism, easy communication, knowledge of grooming and dog health, photos after the appointment, and the new bow our girl always comes home with. Support this local business!

Alex and John did a fantastic job grooming our dog. They had a great attitude despite our dog being way overdue for grooming and just a day before her appointment being sprayed by skunk!
